okay here's the problem.

When your head lights are on and you take out the key
there is suppose to be a sound coming from somewhere to indicate
that your head lights are on right?

well ever since I got my deck installed by a local electronics store,
that sound does not go off anymore.

After the deck was installed there was a problem with the security led
so I returned to them and they said that they hooked the wire for the light
onto some ignition wire so when my car turns off the light turns off too.
I don't want to bring the car back to them because I don't want them to
screw around anymore.

Anyone know how I would get the sound back?

Try putting your stock deck back in and see if everything goes back to normal. If it does, tell the jerks who put your hu in to refund the installation money because they screwed it up...

mine doens't sound anything when i have my headlights on and the key pulled, it would sound when i open the door

i don't there is a sound when your headlights are still on but when you have your key still in the ignition it makes the beeping noise

wow you guys answer pretty fast

well anyways yeah it's suppose to have a sound when you open the door with the key out and the light is on, but mine does not have the sound anymore.

I'll try putting the stock unit back in to see if it fixes the problem, but I won't get a refund for installation because it was free.

i personally don't think it's a problem, because it will still sound when i open the door

Technically, it was not free, it was included. And obviously, the installation staff hooked up something incorrectly. If installing the stock deck fixes the problem, then you are lucky. If not, then you are in for some problems.

I have a few questions, what is the reference about the LED for the security?

What store did the job, and do you know that they used an adapter harness?

What other modifications are on your car as far as electrical?

Are any other things not working, like dash lights, dimmer on the dash lights, running lights. Does the beeper go off at all if you start the car with the door open? There are a number of wires on our cars that are multiplexed, meaning you cannot simply hook up to any wire anymore. I can look it up more at home, but I still need some more info.
