Q about the Viper 5000 Starter kill and valet button

I just got this alarm installed and when I got home and opened the box up to read my manual, I noticed that there was 2 harnesses left in the box. The Starter Kill and Valet.

They didnt install this becasue I got the BASIC install and the BASIC install doesn't cover it they want another $75 to have the 2 installed

Anyways.

The starter kill is just 3 wires on one side and a plug on the other and the Valet looks like its a easy plug n play.

Is this something I can do myself? If so, anybody wanna help me out into which wires to tap?

There isnt any programming done to the alarm system itself for this upgrade is there.

minorc will become famous soon enough
The valet is pretty useless.. i think all it does is not allow ppl to get in your trunk etc, or wherever else there are pins. I like the alarm itself but i have never needed the valet.. its just a weird wire with a button on the end hidden inside my dash.

I think starter kill would be handy though. Just my 2 cents.

are u a namual? if so i would just make a push button tap it to ur clutch wire. So itll be like a kill switch kinda. Basically theres a button on ur clutch that u have to press for safety reasons and all u do is cut that wire and and put a little switch to it. I use that as my kill switch.

O yea dose anyone know if the highbeams are switch is 12v? im thinking of making 2 kill switches lol im scared people will try to take my car =\

o yea if u do this and u valet ur car. UR SCREWED LOL that person wouldnt be able to start ur car and i wouldnt tell him where u hidden ur switch.
