Vertion 1 Vtec (the H22) has a very very different cam profile! Way more agressive!
That is why you dont feel vtec kick in..

btw lmaopper @ this thread
vtec in the ex's (si in canada) are basically this, under 2000 rpm, one intake valve opens, above that both valves open, and thats basically it. btw i think the d17a2 head has a higher lift on the intake side than the d17a1.
