Simple Question, How does a 01 civic ex 5 speed ECU react when you pass the redline or over rev? Does te engine cut out, or does it create that pulsing/some what beeping reving sound? As well is it dangerous for short amounts of time? I understand it is damaging overall. I am trying to determine the optimal shifting pattern for the track.

it'll bounce off the rev limiter until:
a) you let off the gas
b) press in the clutch
c) blow your motor
e) anything else i forgot to mention.

alright thats exactly what i wanted to know, it makes that bounce pulsing reving sound.

you dont need to be anywhere near the limiter on the track. you start loosing power up there especially if its bouncing on it
