Rep Power: 0 Duplicolor Paint for engine bay trim?
I was just at my local autoparts store to buy the primer, paint, and clear coat needed for the painting of my fuse box cover and valve cover under my hood. The only paint they had was the Duplicolor line of Truck, Van & SUV paints. I bought one of each of the above from this line. I am worried now, however that they will not be heat resistant enough for my application. Does anyone know if they are okay? Or did I just screw myself out of $15 (can't take back spray paint).
Thanks

Rep Power: 0 The paint you bought should work just fine. The parts you wanna paint aren't going to get hot enough to make that paint crack & peel off, now if you wanted to paint metal engine parts, then you'd have a problem. But you should be fine with what you have & what you wanna paint with it.

Rep Power: 0 If you're painting your VALVE cover, then you shoulda gotten HEAT RESISTANT PAINT. If what you are painting is that plastic Spark Plug Cover...then I thnk you'll be alright.
