DIY Remove Resonator Box

Any of you could help me out please on how to remove the resonator box? Is it just an air chamber leading into the air filter? Will it make much of a difference?

Thanks for any of your help.

there is a good chance you will lose low-end torque without noticing any gains. And after all, the resonator was placed there for a reason. Many people will tell you that it doesn't really get any louder, and that this is a waste of your time. You have the information, you make the choice.

buy an Injen Intake from overboost.com ..... under 200$ . Dont remove the fuggin resonator...

the resonator is there to quiet your intake noise. there is a DIY but just go in there and do it, its very easy. You wont see a loss of power, but i suggest an intake anyway

Great DIY guide. Looks like something I might want to tackle. I only have one concern, though: Do you have any idea if modifications like this void the car's warranty?

you can remove the resonator box, but i wouldn't do it, if you wash your, even in the wheel well, the water can get in a go into the engine bay and into the air box. it happen to me.

Ph0ng, thanks for the DIY link, very intuitive and nice pictures! Ok guys, thanks for the advice I won't remove the resonator box, until I get an intake. I'm thinking of the Injen shortram.
