Rep Power: 0 In my experience short ram intakes are a little easier to install than cold air intakes. Both I think are very easy to install.

I don't think that N/A D17's produce enough heat for that to be an issue. My Turbo DSM, though...Yeah. I bolted a K&N filter direclty to the MAS without making a heatshield, and the car ran like crap after it warmed up, No power at all.

Rep Power: 0 Yea, I remember having my dual-pipe CAI but it was a real pain always needing to watch the weather for rain so that I could change it. And now I just got the SRI version and sold the bottom half... stupid move, I know. Which reminds me, if anyone has the second half of a CAI that they don't want anymore send me a PM.
But anyway... there is no difference with heat soaking that you could feel, but if you will be doing any kind of road racing I would get a 2 piece pipe so that you could change out when you're just daily driving.

Rep Power: 314 general rule..... SRi make less power but lose less low end power and are easier to install and "look better" under the hood. CAI yield higher peak HP gains but lose a little more low end and a lot of times involves removing front bumper.
