just to do this you will need alot of EX parts... not worth it in my opinion, if you want it go trade your 04 DX in for a 02-03 EX

aftermarket cruise control kits a bitch to install and look awful, but if your really set on it take a look at www.the12volt.com they have a whole forum dedicated to it.

I wish i would have bought a civic lx or higher. In my part of Texas they are hard to find in good shape and at a decent price. The price of gas has really made them even more popular. The best I could do was find a dx with no criuse control. thanks for the input.

Its not gonna be worth it, all that work and time for that. IMO i wouldn't do it. But search around and maybe you'll find what your looking for. Good luck

I was thinking about doing the same, but of course, research is first.
For me, it would be totally worth it (have a post on this already explaining why)

And, by the way, welcome to the forums lobo241! Hope you enjoy them.

Re: looking to install cruise control

Hi, I come from Taiwan. This is my first time posting article here. My car is 01 civic 4dr.
I want to know how to install cruise into my car, too. It's very worth for me and my friends. All civics in Taiwan have no cruise. and many people want to install it. And there's no way to find it out. Please help me to finish if anyone knows how to do it.
I've seen service manual many times. I think there are something I should prepare.

ACTUATOR ASSY. and wire and brackets...all the componet below:
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...y5=AUTO+CRUISE

cruise SWITCH ASSY. plate set, and screws. No. 2,5,12 :
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...HEEL+%28SRS%29

cruise main switch assy. No. 9 :
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...atcgry5=SWITCH

stopping cruise SWITCH ASSY. No 10 :
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...catcgry5=PEDAL

AUTO CRUISE CONTROLLER and bracket. No. 2,3 :
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...IT+%28CABIN%29

And all wire harness...the most trouble.
I've found a junk factory(don't know how to say) which have many junk car. I can buy these cruise parts from them, or from the site I've post above.

If I can finish it, there are at least 30 of my friends want to install it.

If there's anyone know what I need, please tell me. Having the P/N is better!!
Thanks.
