Halfcut and Welded car

I would like to seek the expertise from fellow brother forumers on a car that has been halfcut. How will I be able to tell if a car has been half cut and welded back on with another half cut? What are the signs of evidence? Weld locations and pictures will be helpful. Thanks.

The frame would be a mess with weld everywhere, and the car would look like trash.

What car are we talking about?

Usually the welds are easy to see, often located at the fender/engine area.

Fast way.... put it on a frame rack. They usually never come out perfectly straight.
If its done well you may not be able to see the welds without removing some trim parts or scraping off underbody coating, etc...

Thanks boiler dude, I knew I could get a good answer from you. What's a frame rack anyway? Thanks for the other inputs from fellow forumers too.

You mean something like this?

A good body shop with the proper equipment should be able to repair just about any thing and bring the car back to factory or better spec's. From a Family thats owned a collision repair shop for 18+ years, I've seen some pretty destroyed cars repaird to where you can tell that they were ever hit. but that's the point of the body shop.

BTW, if the car was damaged over $500, and was reported to Insurance, then there will be a record of it.
