all the ebay intakes are like that. the problem is that the intake isnt bent far enough. when i had my ebay intake, i just shortened the rubber part, which made the tube clear the hood.

why was it a piece of ****? how does it look better and better quality? injen sir or CAI is one of the best on the market, 10x better then any intake aem makes. aem intakes are the down fall of that company.

the fitment of the injen CAI rubs it against something, and eventually will erode through the tube. i agree that injen SRI is better than AEM's. i've owned both and i love the injen. we're getting off topic though... i foresee that this is gonna turn into a "whats the best intake" thread.

nope because then i will lock it!
anywho to stay back on topic. like i said you get what you paid for. show us some pics for better help.
The welds on the AEM intake are done pefectly and the overal design is flawless. The Injen intake is crap because it takes up to much space and the material is crap in a higher horsepower civic. The V2 looks so much better then the injen CAi anyways and doesnt ever get dirty pretty much. And the horsepower difference is so un-substantcial that it doesnt matter. From my own experience with an injen and aem...... AEM would be my choice hands down. And unless you have had both i dont think u should side
As i see it an intake is an intake they only make like 1 hp on the dyno anyway so whats the big deal really it comes down to personal prefrance. put simple, which ever one you think looks best or is cheaper on your wallet.
well i personally have had many problems with Injen intakes, believe me i used to back them up untill i found out what problems with their producats can occur. I havent ever had a problem with a V2 so thats why i say AEM

people, CAI, SRI any brand or style isn't doing anything for our cars, why go out and spend $30 or $200 on one if it does nothing for the car. You will never notice 1hp increase in the car. Save up and go turbo. And by the way, K&N Typhoon and FIPK2 are the ones to buy if anything, they have a better increase in hp and torque than AEM, Injen or ebay. Just a fact to throw out there for ya.
