.....oh, and so you know, it's not a DYI, it's a DIY.... and that stands for Do It Yourself so maybe you mean clearing the taillights out yourself like older model civics sometimes do? That way when you brake or turn the white lights go on not red

altezzas are supposed to be pretty easy to install, i havent done it so im not sure exactly what you have to do. i know its just a matter of unbolting the stock tail lights and bolting on the altezzas

LOL...we are all having typing errors...anyways, the factory tails are connected behind the carpet overlay in your trunk. there are about 5 to 6 1/2 to 3/4 inch nuts that you must remove...(dont drop those cause they fall into the black hole of your trunk and are a b-otch to get out) anyways, after you remove the nuts your factory light will practically fall into your hands so be ready. The alteezas slip right in the same way and the nuts go all back where they came from..how neat huh? replace your light bulbs(and dont worry about putting them into the wrong holes, the buld holders are each diff sizes and only fit into the corresponding holes) and lay back your carpet. poof...you have DIY alteezas and look you didnt spend a dime on installation...

it's very easy to install. there are actually 4 of the 5/16 nuts that you have to remove. but I don't know why, I blew one of the brake light bulbs. the good thing is I have an extra one (from the front signal) to put on.
i tinted the reverse part on the lights....i took a peice of tint paper and put it there and cut it out.....looks cool being that i have a black car oh yea if u do that put a hyper white bulb so u can see it
can anyone tell me how to get my taillights off. I have a sedan, and i got the light closest to trunk on, but after taking the 3 nuts off the other light, it seems to be attached somewhere still. can someone who's done this just tell me where to look for the other nuts...do i go up under bumper. thanks. i got the tyc carbon...they're nice

I bought al tezzas and put them in myself on my ex coupe. Its easy, take off the screws holding the carpet in the back then grab an 8mm deep socket and a ratchet. Loosen and take off the four nuts on the long bolts and unclip the bulbs by turning them a quarter turn in the left direction(i think its left), then the light should pop right out. After that take the new light ,pop the bulbs in, set the light in positon, tighten the bolts and your done. A four door should be similar to this.
