My buddy installed springs and now his wheels are golly poggled
Hey, I'm trying to help out one of my more financially challenged friends. He just installed springs all around (HR Sport) and when I went out to check the car out, I couldn't help noticing the camber was pretty grossly off. I told him he probably needed a four wheel alignment, but I have to admit I am totally oblivious to these type of changes.
My question is what is the standard procedure here? I have heard some negative talk about springs, so don't tell me to not install them, ha.
Thanks everybody

No problems with springs, this is normal when lowering a car. Go ahead and get an alignment and they will tell you what your camber is, in the rear it should probably be a little more negative than up front, Get a camber kit(these are adjustable) and adjust it against the specs provided from the alignment. then you can have another alignment done and you should be alright. I don't know what companies other than Ingalls make camber kits tho. Hope this helps.

<< do you have to get a camber kit if you lower your car, how low can you go before you need it? >>
typical junior member question, this has been answered many times in many threads
I lowered mine 2" (maybe a little more) & when I got my alignment done they said the camber was still within Honda specifications. I ordered the Ingalls kit before I took the car in for the alignment so the kit is on there anyways. Lowering it 2" won't need any camber correction. (unless you want to do it merely for appearance purposes)

This is probably because honda anticipates 30% or its cars to be lowered hehehe, they ought to ship them with either adjustable camber already on them or with positive camber

lol. yeah, why wouldn't they ship it with adjustable camber? it can't be that hard to implement into the design when they are creating the car.

I'd love to see a car that has been lowered 2 inches and doesn't need camber correction...LMAO You don't have to correct it, but be prepared to replace tires every few months because the inside tread is worn out while the rest of the tire looks new. If you don't want to have any problems, don't go lower than an inch.
