Automatic question???
when i put it at P drive i step on the gas the highest would reach is 5000rpm is there a way to go up higher? cause some other cars can... i know manual car can.. is there a way to do it for the 2k1 civic(auto)
that would be your revlimiter. you need to upgrade your ecu to go any higher. mine will go up and bounce from 5500, down to 4750, then back up and down. you can either edit the programming on your stock ecu, or find somewhere to get another one and put that in. it's only to save you from killing your engine, and there's no need to rev in park except to taunt somebody so if i were you, i'd just leave it the way it is for now.

When it is in (P)ark, it revs at 5000 rpm. When you put it into gear, the rev limiter changes to 6750 rpm.
Our cars (automatics) are equipped with an ignition that has a built in 2 stage rev limiter.
