how do you install the speed guages.

oh goodness. first, you search. then, you take apart everything and prefereably with out taking off your needles, slap on your gauges. that's the gist of it

yes the indglow whatever, but the black wall thing that is around the gauges, i cant even get that off

why do you have 2 threads going? you'll need to take off the steering column housing to make it easier

if only newbies would use the SEARCH feature. it's quite nice.
just tap into the parking light. it's the red with black stripe or vice versa. just test it with a test light.

look at the black part that surrounds your gauges. Then on the bottom, where it meets with the vinyl dash (to either side of the steering column), stick a small flathead screwdriver in there in pry the black part up. You should be able to hear a click. That is the clip that holds it in. Do that to both sides and pull that piece out. Then just remove the two brass screws in the cornes of your gauge housing and the black one at the top. Unclip green and blue harnesses, and the gauge housing should come right out. Now unclip the plexiglass shield from the housing, then unclip the black piece with the circles.

You should just slide your gauges over the needles. Just be careful not to bend them. It takes a little force to get them to go over, so be careful. Make sure you tape the indiglos down really good with the double-sided tape provided or your needles will stick at certain points...

I know everyone jumped on your case for not searching, but don't be discouraged. Everyone was new at some point...

Mokushi, thank you! i figured it out yesterday thanks though for everyones input. i attached it to the wires that connect to the top of the gauges.

01civicboi: there was two threads b.c. that was the first time i tried this whole asking a question thing, i just didnt totally get how the site worked. second i was searching i just was not finding it right away and i was in a hurry b'c my friend was taking my car apart and lets just say if he takes out things then when he goes to put them back in he some how always has something left over always. all is forgiven.
