DX upgrade?

A local tuner shop mentioned that i should be able to do a VTECH upgrade to the d17a motor. Is this true? if so, what all is involved and would it be worth the expense? they havnt given me a price because they weren't 100% sure it would be possible but they said that the older gen civics were able to do this and since they offer the EX motor with VTECH he didnt see why this wouldnt be possible. Im not looking for 10 second quarters but some more UMPH would be nice. So far ive got cold air, throttle body spacer, and im getting ready to do the EX exhaust conversion as well. Any more hints, tips, or things i should look for to do this VTECH upgrade?

i never said i was getting rid of the car.. i was taking out the motor... i have a k20 in there now... but for an update heres a quick rundown

about a year ago i did the head swap and used a vafc2 to control vtec
started to go all motor a few months later
then rang in the new year with a turbo kit
then a few months later after that i blew the turbo..
thenaround june of this year i took the car one last time to the track before the motor came out and hit a mid 16's again still running the vafv2 for the vtec

then my car sat in the garage from june all the way to middle of august cause i was doing the swap.. now my car is out..

my d17 ran perfectly fine and never had any problems.. theres a few already on her who have a turboed head swap running emanage...
