rsx rear seat install question

I'm in the process of installing my rear rsx seats. But I dont want to do like some people and just make them fit. I want them to actually be functional. But in order to do that I need to see how they are installed in an rsx. I tried to most a topic on clubrsx but my account doesn't have permission for some reason. I just need to see how they are mounted to the floor and how they lock on the sides. If someone wants to post this on clubrsx I would really appreciate it.

there is no way that they will mount "correctly" into the stock em2's rear latches. the rear rsx back seats are to short to reach from the base of the bottom cushion up to the latches for the original seats. about 20 zip ties and seat belts work fine for holding them in there...i guess.

I know they wont connect to the original latches. I'm wanting to make custom mounts but I need to know now the latches look in the rsx.

i guessi'm having the same problem as you. but the way i see it is if you want it to be "functional" then you're really stuck with reupholstering the stock rear back rests. thats waht i'm gonna do, but some crazy shop quoted me for $400 just for the rear back rests. after that i just left the store.

thatd be the easiest. just bring the stock backs to a shop, and not get ripped

I am in the same boat as both of you...my question would be if I used the RSX bottom portion of the seat and the top "stock" portion re-upholstered will there be a gap between them? I would test myself but my stock rear seat is gone!! I got quoted 275 for the rear top half with the same type pattern and leather! I also asked if they could use the top half leathers and they said it is a possibility, might be worth a look!
