in 2001 i swapped my guage cluster with one with a tach, does the ECU store total miles traveled? cause i want to sell my car buy i want honda to reflash my old cluster with the proper miles.

Nope. Mine broke after 5689 miles and I had Honda put a new one in under warranty. Now my odometer is off by 5689 miles. When you replace the cluster you're supposed to put a sticker in the door jam that has the mileage as of the cluster replacement as well as paperwork from the shop that did the swap.

no it doesnt hold that its not a pc it doesnt save what sites you look at or highest rpm on some hard drive no matter how hard you try to delete them

the ecu does continue to count original miles and can be checked by a speedo shop. Yes they can also flash a cluster with a different mileage.

come on do you guys really think that you can swap the cluster and have a lower mileage without anyone noticing? I just hope you don't plan on doing that and selling because they will find out about it. Honda won't be able to reflash miles either. You need to find a qualified speedo shop, the kind that does calibration.

Well there isn't a speedo shop around here. Guess I'm stuck with the screwed up mileage. Oh well. I have all the paper work so not like it's gonna get me in trouble.
