Hi Guys,

Lately, I've been seeing tons of new civic sedans with the "special edition" badge. I don't get what is so special? They all have steelies with hub caps, i think they are 14 inch and all have the white faced lower trim gauges. It's looks to me that they are just the low end civic. Can someone please tell me why they have the "special edition" badge?

THis is in Canada, might be different in the states.

cause those civcs has mp3 and 6 cd stereo on dash, well at least here in mexico is the only difference ...

With the SE, you get the stereo, leather wrapped steering wheel, spoiler, and different 15" alloy wheels.

The US SE has a different set of alloy wheels, leather wraped steering wheel, a spoiler and an upgraded stereo with 6 cd mp3 player and a line-in for your iPod or some other personal electronic device. Otherwise, it's an EX. In fact the US ones say on the back: "EX, Special Edition". The VP is a low end civic and does not have the new stereo. Not sure what SE is in Canada though, just setting the record straight for the US peeps.

Actually ive also seen LX SE's, but its the same package deal.

yes the lx se is same as the ex but no painted mirrors and no sun roof and no vtec

it's basically a civic dx but has a/c, cd player, audio anti-theft, and pdl standard. And yes, it comes with the old 02 civic lx-g and up white face gauges.

*no 6-disc changer...jus standard am/fm/cd player that comes with the rest of the civics

the special edition in canada is what the vp is here. the special edition in the US is the highest model of the civics.

yup...the ones here in the US with the Special Edition badge is the highest civic model out excluding the si...in canada the special edition there is the equivalent of the Value Package or vp here stateside

pretty much the only upgrade is the steering wheel and stereo (which is pretty nice for stock)

i just got a lx se, so i figure i'll chime in. there are only two SE models.

LX SE and EX SE

the se features are
-in dash 6 cd changer with mp3 compatability
-leather wrapped steering wheel
-spoiler
-the thin spoked alloy wheels
-nifty se badge

i think thats pretty much it. for everything else the lx and ex option differences remain the same as non SE models.
