this is a double post, as I didn't know where it should go:
I don't drive my car hard, but i've noticed lately if I shift hard and fast from first to second, I hear a loud thump. I can squeal the tires when I shift, but I also hear the loud thump. It doesn't do it in any other gear. Im assuming it's probably a traction issue, or something, is this normal? I know I shouldn't be shifting hard, and I usually don't but is this normal?

Possibly traction issues...wheel hop maybe? I used to have the same problem until I installed my Motor Mount inserts...a lot better now!!!

I get it, veryrarely, it sounds terrible does'nt it. I always thought it was clutch getting f#cked, or something bad, cause it only happens when i do not shift perfectly/smoothly. I used to get it alot when i first started trying to shift at high rpms quickly. I still have problems with traction from time to time going from 1st to 2nd, that is the perch/burnout in 2nd.
