starting problem/sort of

2000 civic 26,000 miles starts and runs good expect if < 1/3 tank of gas then starts but takes more cranks, less if you crank/let got then crank? why

i have an 01 and my starter and soleniod just went. luckily the toyota dealership i got it from sells a warranty with $0 deductable at an affordable price

anyway to fix the problem try this...
turn the key to on (1 click before start) for a few secs untill a buzzing kinda noise stops.
turn key to start till it starts... should start right up like normal

you gotta let the car fill the fuel lines and fuel rail with fuel. you can crank all day but without getting fuel to the engine (few secs it takes) you aren't starting!
