Talking srs light

ok my srs light came on 3 days ago and i went to the dealership cause i have the extended 100k warranty anyway. they said it was my ABS controller. they needed to order the part and will install it tomorrow. i thought it was 3 things, seat belt tensioner, alternator running too high and air bag malfunction. so my abs light did not come on. then i'm wondering why its my abs controller and my light did not come on. so anyway, if they replace the abs controller will they have to drain all the brake fluid, and basically replace my fluids with the controller. thanks

I'm trying to figure out what you're trying to say. Your sentence fragments are hardly intelligible. Are you making a statement or asking a question?

i was rambling. sorry. srs light came on. then i'm wondering what abs controller is, and if they change it will they have to change my brake fluid. and wondering why my abs light did not come on instead. there. satisfied?

ha ha ha. Yep. Your ABS controller is the black electrical box attached to your ABS modulator under the hood. Yes they will have to disconnect everything and purge your brake lines. Your abs light didn't come on because that box is the device which does the detection of faults. If it fails completely, it won't be able to diagnose the fault. How did anybody notice a problem in the first place?

Because magically his SRS light came up ... in diagnosing his SRS light problem, the dealer found his ABS controller to be faulty .. I don't know how they managed that. But hey, if its under warranty I wouldn't complain. Hopefully it solves your problem and doesn't give you a ton more

ok so i came up to the dealership at 8 and a new service guy comes up and says it was the SRS controller not ABS. the other guy told me the wrong thing. then he said that they ordered the wrong part, so i had to get a rentacar. the part was like 300 bucks and labor was 200. but i got it for 0. anyway my rentacar is a 04 red sunfire. this thing sucks. 2.2 ecotech engine. my vic is so much better on the road. this car feels like a dead piece of crap. can't wait to get back my vic :-)
