How many miles... my mother has an accordlast body style...
It ended up being her Distrib & Rotor (4cyln)
it would drive however at a dead stop the car would vibrate, and act like
its going to die and she was getting crappy gas milage.
All this from an after market Distrib and rotor.
They replaced it with a honda one.. and bam all is normal...
Mileage is back up and no more bogging or rough idle...
she has about 66000 miles on it... all maintained....

1. what do the spark plug look like?
2. how is it shifting? could be a tight torque converter, but I doubt it

I never checked the spark pug. I just had her put some fuel injector cleaner in it. Um, she bought it from a old couple. And they drove to work everyday. highway miles. I think it has 80k. Not sure though. It's a automatic. And the shifting seems to be normal, just the take off is messed

just FYI honda rec that the distrib & rotor @ 60k.. but not all dealers will tell you... and it shouldntto be replaced... and check the plug wires... might be dry and cracked... however at 60K the tune up should have included new plugs, distrib and rotor. The wire are extra if i remember correctly.
not trying to push it.. however it plagued my mother and the diag scope was fine, no check engine.. no code thrown...

Check the plugs, and see if they are anyother color than a light brown, a small amount of carbon is okay too. If you do a google search you can probably find what problems are assiciated with certian colors. I would certianly check the cap and rotor too.

if you're going to the trouble to pull the plugs out to look, well, plugs are CHEAP. just replace them anyway. same with the cap and rotor, super easy to replace and cheap too. even if they're not totally the cause of your problem, it's a good idea.
