Fixed my sunroof rattle
I used some weather stripping and fixed my sunroof rattle. I got the idea from clubrsx.com and it seems to have worked
. There is a black plastic piece that was loose on the passenger side on the sunroof when I would hold the piece the rattling sound would stop.
my passenger door lock was rattling but my door panel wasn't all the way pushed in so I pushed in and I think I got rid of that rattle as well.

Now my steering wheel squeeks a lot when doing tight turns like inparking lots oe pulling out of the driveway. I still have a noise coming from the rear passenger like something is loose. I tried to shake the rear corner window and rear windshield and could simulate the noise.

That weather stripping piece you're referring to... is it that foam-looking thing? What did you use to stick it on?
So is that loose plastic piece actually on the sunroof, or is it now covered by your weather stripping? Not sure I understand the part you're talking about.
I have that ticking/rattling sound coming from the passenger side of my Civic too, and I have never figured out what was actually loose from that side. Gotta try out this solution.

Yeah the weather stripping its the foam looking thing.
Yeah the loose plastic piece was actually part of the sunroof. Its the piece that hangs right above the shiny metal beam when the sunroof is closed. So I placed the weather stripping on the shiny metal beam. There are two parrallel metal beams on which the sunroof runs to close and open.
The weather stripping comes with an adheisive.

Don't those 2 plastic covers attach with 2 screws? That's the inside trim to cover the actual 4 nuts that hold the glass in. Have you thought of just tighening the 2 screws? Or does the plastic trim sit so close to the rail that it just touches? Mine does not do this. But the headliner has a little rattle behind the sunroof I have to find.

Take out the screw that holds on each side trim piece. (sunroof closed) Remove trim piece. Then you'll see 4 10mm nuts, 2 on each side. Remove these. You may or may not have a few shims between the sunroof and the mechanism, they will fall out when you lift straight up on the glass. Don't worry about these until you put the glass back in. When you do put the glass back in, look outside and see how evenly flush the glass sits. Add shims as needed under the glass before putting the 4 nuts back on. Tighten gently, just good and snug. Then pop the 2 trim pieces back in and put the philips screws back. This is the easiest way to clean and re-lube the track for the sunroof. While you are at it, clean the rubber on the glass and wipe it down with some silicone spray. It's usually easier if you have a friend grab the sunroof glass when you push it up from inside the car, btw, and same in reverse.
