Changing plugs

They are way down in the holes. Is there a tool to get them in and out? I used to use rubber hose to do this on other cars. When do they need changed out?

all you need is a spark plug socket and a ratchet with an extension. Change them at around 50K miles or so.

or searching would be good too......

Use a deep socket with a extension. To get the plugs out, stick the coils down in the head over the plug and pull them out.

I guess you've never seen the head dissassembled, because the spark plug sleeves are a part of the head. I haven't seen a picture of a disassembled head with the sleeves removed, so I'm assuming they're permanent.

Anyways, a standard 5/8" Spark plug socket and a 6" extension will get the plugs out. Just make sure you thread the new ones in BY HAND, before you tighten them down. Crossthreaded spark plugs is an expensive screwup.
