I say K24 block with the K20 head from the rsx type s. Look at Hondaluver he's getting some nice hp numbers. K24 I believe is cheaper check K20A.org or k-series.com for more info.

the type R in japan is a k20a and the Type S in the US is a k20a2. The k24a2 is in the tsx and the a3 is in the crv i think. The k24 is more designed for torque, but the k20 head is interchangable then the k24 block. Some people say the k24 has more potential because its a 2.4L vs 2.0. If you get a k20 head and tranny with k24 long block you have the potential to be faster then the k20a. Some's already done a k24/k20 frankenstein with sucess just do a search.

I'm going with a full K24A2..using a Type R tranny and TypeS ECU (Kpro'd) and TypeS ECU.
I want torque..lol.
might boost it year following that.

you should try to find a doner car. Find an RSX which has been totalled from behind, so the engine is intact. That way you get all the miscellaneous parts which will add up to a fortune if you buy them new.

Can't do it. It doesn't matter if he has an automatic right now or not, he has to swap all the components anyway.

Dude, common sense.
Your tranny is D-series. You need an RSX 5 or 6 speed tranny to bolt onto the K-series engine. You can't use a TSX tranny because of clearance issues, I think. Someone checkup on that.
