Speedometer Drop Out

I tried to do a search with no results so plz give me some direction.

I was wondering if anyone had a problem with their speedo in their civic dropping out. I just noticed it today but around 50mph stepping on the gas the speedo suddenly dropped by 10mph and suddenly jumped back up to 60mph while steadily increasing speed from 50. Has anyone else see this and is it a problem i should watch for or do u think it was a one time blip?

(BTW i was driving my wifes 05 civic VP sedan.)

Ive seen speedos jump some times or drop some times. its probably a hiccup in the signal of some kind causing a false reading or false display. happened to me at least once in ever car ive ever driven. so its nothing major if it doesnt do it more than once. heck i revved up my cavalier once and it shot up to 110! I was like "OMFG AHH IM GOING SO FAST NOTHING LOOKS LIKE ITS MOVING!!!!! AHHHH!!!!1111oneI2-1

I've had it happen in my 04 VP several times, it would drop all the way and then back up.
