Reset ECU after Intake/Header/Exhaust???
Reset ECU after Intake/Header/Exhaust???
All the mods mentioned above were installed with the battery cable connected, and my gas mileage has plummeted ever since. The needle moves very fast and is no where near where it was from factory. Am I missing something? Do I need to reset the ECU for it to "learn" the new upgrades? Please advise...

it will fighure it out after some driving. but reseting it will make it learn faster.
reset the ecu and let it idle for 5 minutes or so. then drive it around.

You may want to check to make sure all the sensors you've moved are okay visually too. The CAI can sometimes screw with the thermocouple so the car can not see what the inlet temp really is. May want to look at that, then check the O2 sensors.
If a reflash doesn't work and all the sensors look okay, take it to AutoZone or something and have them plug it up to a computer and look for weird readings. I had an O2 sensor on my old truck once that was reading really high numbers, but since it was reading high numbers, the ECU didn't think it was bad, instead it though the engine was running lean and started dumping more fuel into the engine. Changed the O2 sensor and all was fine.
Hope that helps

It can adjust the A/F and I think ignintion (not sure about the 7thgen civic on the ignition though). What can happen with all these mods, is sometimes you can send a sensor off on some weird loop and resetting it usually the easy way to fix it.
