handling is awesome! but it makes this car like a scooter compared to my boosted civic

this is going to be my girl and my daily driven car from now on... my baby's gonna be garaged most of the time
I so fvckin hate it when my car's down... but she's gonna be fine by Thursday

I let it bled for about 6x, i don't know how much do I have to let it bleed... pedal have more pressure this time, and somewhat goes to reverse, but with grinding noise and still won't go in on any gears...
i think my clutch's fvcked
i'm gonna bleed it again for about 15 times just to quadrople sure that it's not the bubbles in my lines...I came to a conclusion that I fvcked my clutch... after I bled the clutch for about 10x and put about half a can of brake fluid... it's still the same... now which one is cheaper, get my slave cylinder fix first and see if that's the problem or I have to get me a new clutch... but it's hard to believe that an ACT clutch will pop just like that... unless the installation was faulty... could it be just the cylinder going bad? or could it be the slave cylinder, and or the clutch? man this sucks....

not exactly sure what's causing that man. but its got to have something to do with the master cylinder. either is bad, or has some air in it when you did the clutch install. Have you tried to bleed the clutch yet? I'd start there.

Purrfect Auto installed it for me... i don't mess with breaks, clutch, transmission<<< I only do bolt-ons and what not, I leave those to the pro... the clutch's been on my ride for about 10K miles and it work fine untill now... but how do I bleed my clutch? is it do-able? how easy and how long?
pop you hood and look on the tranny bell housing just left of the header. there are 2 12mm bolts. the thing with the plastic boot on it is your clutch slave cyl. on the right of it you'll see a little silver bleeder valve. you need to have someone in the car and someone underneith it. Just make sure that the reseviour is filled at all times with brake fluid or your just gonna keep getting air in it. Have them pump the clutch pedal 4 or 5 times to build pressure in the line and then on the last pump have them hold the pedal all the way down. while they hold the pedal down the person under the car takes a 8mm wrench and opens the bleeder valve and let it drain till it stops. then close the bleeder and then they can let the clutch pedal up. keep doing this 3 or 4 times. but make sure every other time you do it you check the resiviour to make sure it always has dot3 brake fluid in it. Good luck

thanks man! I rep you on that one! i will do this tonight...
the slave cylinder i'm assuming is just right on top of the clutch pedal right? damn i hate being a newb!

but why is it doing now than before? is it because when I shift hard the fluid moves around and that causes the air to go in the hose when I press the clutch? I just wonder how it happens

definitely bleed it as soon as I get home... I think I moved alot of the bubbles when I drove her hard last night @13PSI
... my fluid is at below max, I always check my fluid not to go below 2mm from max line
... but yeah i haven't bleed my clutch since my ACT clutch install about a year ago... so maybe from the install had some bubbles there already and it just now caused this problem...

i found it
the fvcker's hiding behind the turbo
I let it bled for about 6x I don't know if it takes way more than that for the fluid to travel from the cylinder to the bleed valve... i'm gonna work on her until 1am if this **** ain't working by then, then my clutch is fvck!!!

your turbo might be in the way of it. the slave cylinder is in the bell housing. the master cylinder is attached to the pedal. its a little fitting that has a nipple on it. my turbo is in the way of mine, but I know its there. follow your clutch line and feel around where the clutch line attaches to the bell housing(slave cylinder). I'll put a pic up when I get home if you don't find it.
oops, didn't read the second page....sorry guys

i'm gonna tear my car apart today... but first off to carmax and get me a new ride
hehehe... if my clutch is good... then it's gotta be the clutch cylinder... I don't wanna take it to any shop right now specially if we don't know what the problem is... they will take advantage of me like they do to the rest of their customer... i'm talkin about the auto shops...
