DIY Stereo Install Problems

I've got a 2003 Civic and am trying to pull out the factory headunit. The thread in the DIY doesn't really help my car, since the console setup is different, and I'm not sure what to rip off first. Anyone have any helpful hints? I'm most likely going to call Good Guys or Best buy to see how they handle the install.

Also, I'm installing a new Pioneer Premier AVH-P6600DVD, and was wondering how to bypass the feature that prevents operation of the DVD player when the parking brake is not engaged. There is a wire that is supposed to be crimped to the E-brake, but I was just thinking about lacing it into the ignition to get it to work all the time. Has anyone done this before and have any insight? Thanks for any help guys.

I can't help on installing the head unit, but as far as the e-brake thing goes, I'm pretty sure the wire that is supposed to go to the e-brake can just be grounded for constant operation.

The thing is that the contact ends in a wire cutting crimp. These body panels are the main concern though, anyone know how to get it off?
