can you bondle urethane side skirts to the body of your car
can you bondle urethane side skirts to the body of your car, i wanted to do this for my car to make it look like a one piece, but someone told me you cant cuz the urethane will not bondle well and it would eventually crack the bondle, i was wondering has anyone tried it or if it was possible to do it?

bondle? you might mean bondo....
i'm sure you can do it but if it's a daily driver it is more than likely to crack because of the stress and flexing of your body. only do that to show cars...i hate going to car show and seeing hella cars with cracked molded fenders...but if you drive like a granny i'm sure you can get away with it.

Molding side skirts can easily be done, and if it's done right with polyurethane side skirts, the work will be a little more forgiving of body flex than, say, fiberglass. Problem is that once molded, just think what you would have to go through to replace or remove the skirt, should you damage it or just want to change it up. My body shop guy refuses to mold my side skirts on for that reason. And it's a good thing he turned me down too - I scraped my driver's side skirt on a parking lot island thing a couple months ago.
Bondo might not be the best material to mold polyurethane to the body; from my experience it's not that durable - my shop uses urethane....
