Bumper Damage
Bumper Damage
Alright....
I work at a grocery store and I walked out today to find out that my left back bumper had been tagged by a cart. The cart took off some of the paint and the paint surrounding it looks scratched. My questions to you all is should I get the bumper resprayed or should I just let it be and buy a new bumper when I can.

Just let it be for now. Something else is bound to happen and it's not worth all the money to fix unless you have insurance. Even repainting it, there's no guarantee the new paint will be a perfect match due to fading.
I was quoted at 600 to respray the bumper. The guy told me however that since the paint has a metallic flake in it, it would be very hard to match the color perfectly. I think I might just let it be for right now. Thanks for the replies!
haha, thats is what i always want to happen. Right after I got my car, 2 weeks after I got read ended and had to get a new bumper. I used Sterling Auto Body in Houston and they told me that the bumper would be just as good as new, but a few weeks ago I realized that the bumper was originally painted red and just repainted blue. Unfortunately this was in 2001 and they aparantly don't keep computer records and I don't have the receipt so they pretty much screwed me over since the bumper is spidering and cracking and they won't fix it. They also have a lifetime warranty on their work, which pisses me off. But anyways, im drunk and probably talking alot. I still hope someone rear ends me soon though.
