h and a oil filter

h and a oil filter
Hey y'all
has anybody ordered the oil filters from H and A? I was wondering if they are the new small kind, or the old bigger kind.
Smaller, bigger, they both fit i know. But which one is the newer one. I would rather use the newer one because there must be some kind of improvement if its newer.

ACTUALLY - forget i even asked. It seems the bigger one is the newer one and thats the one H and A sells. The small one came with the car. The bigger ones are updated filters with 60% more surface are on the filter paper and some kind of anti-flowback valve thats supposed to make it better.
$4.43 with washer. Not bad - dealer was selling it for $6.

Rep Power: 0 The skinny one is made in japan, the fat one that came stock on your civic and is manufactured by FRAM for Honda.
Everytime I purchase an oil filter at a dealer, I always get the skinny japanese one. For some reason, I have yet to come accross the one that originally came from my car which I don't care less cause I prefer the one made in Japan.

Rep Power: 0 Funny you should mention the oil filter thing.
I recently ordered three oil filters for my Civic and three for the Odyssey.
I thought Icould easily tell them apart when they arrived because the Odyssey
has a fat filter and the Civic has a "skinny" filter.
I thought they made a mistake when I saw all the filters were the same!
