Engine miss
I have a 1989 CRX that me and my sons are restoring. It has developed a miss. I replaced spark plugs and wires but to no avail. A garage mechanic here said it could be a valve. I tested the compression and have 2 cylinders at 70 lbs. and 1 at 60 lbs. I have isolated the cylinder as I can pull the wire off the distributer. That cylinder has compression of 55-60 lbs. I can remove the wire and it makes no difference, however when a idle up it does. It does not run rough, just makes that puffing noise. It seems to me that if it was the valve it would get worse with higher RPM. Has anyone had this and can you give me a tip. Thank you.
