Exclamation fuel milage

yah.....i dont drive like a maniac much, i do accellerate fast, but i dont like floor it....yet the mist i ever seem to get out of a tank of gas is 300 miles. Not to mention the fact that my tank seems to only be 10.5 gallons despite the fact that all the specs say it should be 13.2 gal.....whats goin on here? whys my mileage low??

PS i take alot of highways and such, not too much city or idle driving....

my gas light turns on when i have about ~1.5 gallons left...and i rarely ever drive it til the light comes on...but check how much you fill up with next time if you decide to try and drive til your gas light comes on...and do it when there's gas stations nearby.

ROFL...

I can get 500 miles on a tank of gas !!!!!!!!!!
I get over 40 mpg sometimes

1. Fill up your tank at the gas station
2. Reset your tripometer to 0 before driving
3. Next time you get gas, fill it up all the way
4. Look at your receipt and find out how many gallons you got
5. Divide the Miles on your tripometer by the gallons you got
MPG

02 ex 5spd.

Couple of things.

if yours is like mine, the gas gauge isn't too great. Mine reads empty at about 10.5 to 11 gallons which translates to about 400 miles for me. The worst mileage i got was 32. 32 x 13 gallons is 416 miles with half gallon to spare. Forget your gas gauge reset your tripmeter each fill up and go by miles driven once you figure our what mileage you get.....You get the idea.

The other thing could be your tank is dinged and isn't taking the full volume. get under it and take a look.....

ahh cool....i just filled up my tank today....i put in 11.4 gallons and my fuel light had been on for about 20 miles.....(i had 314 when i filled it). At least now i know my tank hold more then 10.5 gallons as i had previously thought....so im guessing the light comes on when 10 gallons have been used leaving 3 left, right? even thought my gauge is completely on E i guess ill still keep going

Use premium fuel...if not already....these engines fire hot enough to burn it well and it helps alot...thats how the MPG is usually measured on a vehicle. my mpg jumped alot because of that switch

well many people will also complain about bad mileagae as well you dont have to believe me but try it and i promise you will see better mileage and better throttle response....it will also keep your head flowing cleaner for longer because it burns off any excess build up......bigger explosion with the same amount of fuel...tell me what the equals out to (less fuel consumption with the same amount of power)
