Advanced Timing

is there any way you can advanced the timing on our cars.

you can advance the timing but why?... buy some cams before you screw with advancing or retarding timing with the crank.... this could do alot of things but most likely youd just be wasting more gas\

or if you advance it more then you should the plugs might fire too early causing combustion before full compression which would try to push your piston back down before it reaches TDC and that would either bend/crack your connecting rod or warp/snap your crankshaft.... so pretty much our engines are pretty well tweaked and tuned to work specifically by honda and its probably easy to screw up

the ecu computes the timing advance automatically by using the the inputed data from the MAP, TP, and O2 sensors. don't mess with the timing cause it puts it right where it needs to be on its own. if the mix is lean, it advances it more automatically. if you advance it you could put holes in your pistons, snap connecting rods, .... **** up your engine. say away from timing tweeking....lol
