diy cleared headlight question

when reassembling the headlight casing, is it totally necessary to use some kind of sealant? i plan on doing this in the next few weeks and i'd like to be informed.

on a side note.. i hate fedex for denting my grills, now i have to wait to reship and ship again. god.

Reseal them with more sealent. Don't even bother taking a chance and having them condense on you.

definitely reseal them with more sealant...you don't want any condensation to get in there

Use spring clamps to really close the gap, then a thin bead of Permatex Gasket Maker (it's grey) all around the seam. Voila, condensation free.

I used clear heavy duty sealant from Home Depot

Cost like $4...

but otherwise moisture will get into your headlight and corrode your junk.

i use clear sealant called RTV. works good, no moisture. actually used it on my car and a friends.
