stock clutch question
i just wanted to see if anyone had the same issue...when im at full acceleration (Pedal to the floor; for you newbs) quick shifting, or slamming it from 1st to 2nd is fine, but 2nd to 3rd, i have to keep the clutch enguaged for another second or so and let it spin before throwing it into gear or it grinds for a second. anyone else have this same issue?

yeah, something like that happens to me. AFter it grinds, I have to put it completely in neutral and clutch pedal all the way down before I can get it into 3rd again without grinding. If I dont do it that way, and attempt to get into 3rd again without completely putting it in neutral, it grinds.
i have the smae problem too but i noticed that everytime it happened i only had the clutch 1/2 to 3/4 of the way down when i was going from 2nd to 3rd.. for some reason i dont have to push the clutch all the way down from 1st to 2nd

my race car is a 523whp mustang, but I love my ricer at heart. So, going from one to the other...sucks. I'm at the moment custom fabricaing a blower for the d17, we'll see how it works out. Hopefully I dont blow the motor

I don't have any of those problems
I hear the ACT clutch is HARD...like your calf muscle will get a nice workout with it but I guess if you drive a manual stang, than it won't be that much of a change.

one question....are you spraying?
Tha sounds like a tranny problem to me, not a clutch problem. Maybe if it's tranny you can find one at the boneyard. I have a EXEDY organic going in, in the spring. I just don't feel like driving a brand new clutch in the winter, might be tough to break in with all that spinning tires ya know? LOL
