whats a racing clutch?

Just answered this in another thread. But, a racing clutch doesn't ease into gear. You have to drop the clutch from around 3000 RPM's or your car stalls.
As far as the technical stuff. The clamping force of our stock clutchs is about 800 PSI, whereas the clamping force of a racing clutch is around 1800+ PSI - solid, slip free engagement of the clutch. Our stock clutches are also made out of an organic material that breaks down in order to give us a smoother engagement whereas the racing clutch is made out of a solid material and gives instant acceleration and response.
I probably left some other stuff out, but I think that should explain it pretty well.
Sidenote: A racing clutch SUCKS if you plan on doing any normal street driving where you might get into traffic.
