Fyi!

Just thought I'd let you guys know that Ground Control Coilovers from 01-02 will not fit on the 03 and up models.

I found out the hard way.

The reason they will not fit is because the the actual shock on the 03's are thicker and wider then on the 01-02's and will not allow the GC sleeve to slide down all the way.

To get around this setup we thought of just replace the 03 shocks on my car with the 02 shocks but you can't do this either. The bolt size on the lower shock assembly is larger on the 03's then on the 02's.

So just to let you guys know... do not buy used GC coils for your 03.

Well I disagree with you, Mr. modify has a 04 civic and he has ground controls and I dont think he had any issues. And there are alot of other members with ground controls on there 03. I guess we will wait to see what they say.

If they bought them brand new... then they will have no problems. GC made their newer sleeves larger to accomidate the bigger shocks.

I bought a set of used ones from an 01-02 and that's when they won't fit.
I was just posting this to warn people.

Same... I had the rears on but when I got to the fronts... it wouldn't fit.

I had to take it all apart and put it back to stock again.

Unless I get the entire front lower control arm... nothing will fit.
The 01-02 shocks will not fit on the 03-04's.
