D17 Intake Manifold Conversion
Does anybody know what are the main differences between the D16Y8 and the D17 Intake manifolds e.g bolt pattern, intake port sizes, sensors etc.
If there aren't many differences then why can't we fabricate something so that an aftermarket IM for the D16y8 could work on our D17?

firewall clearance may be an issue, but if the centerline on the ports is close you might be able to cut the flange off and weld our injector base flange to it. I dont have a d16 manifold so i dont know how they would measure up.
