The best way to turn off battery?

Is there a best/safe way to do this? I just got a momo steering wheel and need to turn off the battery before installing it.

you cant turn off the battery, but you can disconnect it.

just unhook the Negative Terminal (black)

and yes, it will give a little spark when you plug it back on, but nothing outrageous.

Thanks! Why does it say unplug the positive in this DIY?

Cause unless you have upgraded it, your deck is going to be locked when you reconnect the batt. Meaning no tunes.

Huh? I've never heard of that before? I have a CD player and not the factory radio.
Do I disconnect the + or the -?

Then no problems. You can disconnect either one. I'm in the habit of disconnecting the +.

If you have the stock CD player and disconnect the battery, you need the radio code to get it to play again. So if someone steals the CD player, they need the code to get it to work. They won't have the code so they can't use it.

Kinda funny cause think about it - when's the last time you heard of someone stealing the STOCK CD player?
