It is all about fluid dynamics. You will have to figure out the best route for the air to go.

You have a dc sport 4 to 1 header and a 3" downpipe? I say ditch the header and downpipe. Get a better header. A shop can custom a 2.5" downpipe for you.

Do not go 3 inch exhaust on a N/A Motor. If you have a DC Header is about 2.25 pipping on the inside. Go with 2.5 exhaust. You will get the most power out of it staying N/A. Thats saying your going to mod the motor more.
