'04 coupe front "H"

to remove the front H on an '04 coupe, do you HAVE to take off the bumper? or is the emblem just clipped into olace? gonna paint it black

I think it's part of the grill, so just get some masking tape and cover everything except the H. Use newspaper for the rest of the bumper and hood.
