Transmission Help

This is a general question. My brother just received a transmission but one of the bolt holes is broken. So he cant tight one part of the transmission. Can he weld it or what. Thanks

I dunno about that one ... a broken bolt hole sounds kinda serious when it comes to transmission installation, even if he can weld it on.
