Are there really any hp gain in any engine mods?
I'm just wondering, with all the cars' ECU being smarter by the generations, I'd heard that it'll adapt to any circumstances, so if all the mods has been done to the car eg. air intake, using higher octane fuel, performance exhaust, etc, wouldnt the ECU just 'adapt' to that & go back to its original setting that was programmed by Honda? Unless the ECU is reprogrammed. Though I believe there are some which would increase in power, but I doubt that the 7th gen's ECU is like that. Am I wrong?
Kinda right and kinda wrong as far as i know. It wouldnt really adapt per say but if it were a large enough mod it would just shut off (or stop working correctly) but small stuff will always help a little but whether adding horsepower or just improving fuel mileage
is it true that using higher octane of gas increase hp?
from what i heart and wrote on some amount of threads, nobody ever said that it's true...
the driver should pick octane number 87 because it's designed for use with the compression ratio of our engine.....thus, allowing some higher compression engine like the B series to use higher octane fuel..
now, am i right?
