Because of high taxes (above 100% for each car) I had to buy a 110HP D16V1 VTEC-II. Besides the powers forgivign, its nowhere near as thrilling as at least a B16 series 160Hp engine. I've been searching for sometime to upgrade the power. But came up with empty hands. Because the engines pretty new, known mod makers were unable to comply.

I want to upgrade the power to at least ~140HP. What can I do?

Its the engine from EP2. There you know it now With a horsepower raging from 110HP to 115HP, and a torque of 152Nm.

Alright thanks I just have never heard of that engine code.. If you want immediate HP just throw a 35 shot on there you can run that all day without hurting a thing.!!

Uhm... Whats 35 shot..? I suppose its not NOS, which I can't use all day... If you're referring to an 35 hp increase, thats what I want to know. I don't know how to modify this engine. I also don't know which modifications this engine responds to..? Any information? Please?

Does anyone know about this engine..? C'moooon.. I need help It can not be true that I can not find any mod parts for this engine. Its not that brand new... Its on the road 'till 2001..!

No camshafts..? No ECUs..? No heads..? No valve springs..? No pulleys..? No fuel pumps..? No injectors..? No intakes..? No headers..? No forged pistons..? No titanium valves..? No nothing...?!?

ITs pretty much the same as the D17A2 you can use the same intake, Header, Camgear, pulleys, injectors..As far as a cam goes give Josh a call at DHracing for a possible cam regrind if that is what you want...

thanx berettagtz, you're the only one in this forum thats much of a help. If I can use the same mods you have referred to, than it seems like I can squeze out a 130+HP from my sohc... Thanx again, I'll search for D17A2 parts also

I have emailed you, I am from Spain and I have an EP2 with d16v1 motor. I want increase the horsepower but here in Spain I cant find anything.

If somebody can help me with my EP2, I will be very pleased.

Hi gokhanasan and wabe

I'm trying to put some info together for D16V1 mods but just now but there isnt much so far in the way of the N/A upgrades you have mentioned.
I'm afraid it really is just a matter of trying D17 parts and hoping they fit. This Forum is definately the best resource you'll find for D17 mods.
My green filters CAI works well to start with.
D17 EX Exhaust Headers LOOK as if they will fit and the Exhaust Gasket IS the same Part but it really is going to be a bit stressfull buying on these assumptions. Rest assured though as soon as I try these parts the DIY will be on my site(and here).
Getting 140bhp is goint to be tough though unless you want to stick on a turbo.
