Mobil 1 and Mobil 1 SuperSyn are the same oil, just SuperSyn is the newest version of Mobil 1. SuperSyn must have improved additives for fuel-efficient cars like Civics, or at least Mobil wants us to think so. As for Triple Synthetic, I don't remember ever seeing or hearing anything about it. I always get Mobil 1 with SuperSyn.

Mobil1 - This is the original formula introduced many, many years ago. However it still is the generic name for the M1 oil.

Mobil1 TriSyn - This came out a few years ago and left the market after a short while because the additive package left something to be desired. Not a bad oil but it had its shortcomings. It is no longer produced so if you see it on a shelf it's old stock. Pass on this stuff.

Mobil1 SuperSyn - The replacement for TriSyn and all of the M1 motor oils are SuperSyn unless Mobil says otherwise i.e., diesel or motorcycle and so forth. This is the latest stuff and it works very well. Since Mobil only produces this it would be proper to ask for M1 oil and just check the bottles to make sure that it isn't the old TriSyn. I haven't seen TriSyn on a shelf in a long time though.

A lighter weight is good for winter months, and a heavier weight for summer months......

Have any of you checked out the Motor Oil Bible http://www.motor-oil-bible.com? It's a free download after registering at http://themotoroilsite.com/forums/. I've been searching on the web and it's hard to find much on oil that's worth mentioning however this seems to be very comprehensive. Bottom line...I'm sticking with AMSOIL.
