The biggest thing is asking about the timing belt. It's a somewhat expensive job that is usually done with the water pump at 100k-ish miles. If it hasn't been done, you can use that as a bargaining point. Otherwise, check tires (including spare), oil change intervals, lights, fluid levels, rust spots. During the road test, see if you can take it to a reputable mechanic for an inspection.
