hmm didn't know they came out with an adjustable one. but i dont know if thats such a great idea.. (ie: might start slipping... and the adjusted spectrum isn't good for some gear, hence the grinding.. )
I would stick with stock's too cuz its butter smooth, but the shift stick is just too high for my taste.. or rather, it looks freaking weird with the RSX **** I have on.

I've had both a DC sports adapter and the revo in the past. A short shifter will make your shifter more harsh and you will not notice the shortened throw after you get used to it. So the only thing you are left with is a harsher shift.
Had the revo on for about 6 months and loved it at first. Then i got used to it and didn't notice the shortened throws so i took it off and whoah! Stock is smooth as butter compared to short shifter!
So again its just personal preference on feel. And I now run stock.

How exactly is it rediculous? Show me proof that the short shifter does nothing with shifting engagement. Try and proove what I said is wrong find proof, get someone with actual knowledge that is well known on this site to proove me wrong the maybe I will believe you about it just being preferenceof feel and look.
Who said anything about a short shifter not affecting shifting engagement? It does. If you've installed a short shifter you would know that it moves the shift cable slightly higher with more leverage which results in less lever throw. It also results in a stiffer shift because the cable is binding and it traveling in more of a curved path.
I've tried both an adapter, full short shift assembly (Revo) and of course stock. Of the three the revo looks the best 'cause the lever is shorter. The stock is signifigantly smoother than a short shifter and thats why i choose to run stock. I personally see no advantage to running a short shifter unless you like the feel of a stiff shift or the look of a shorter lever. There is no advantage to the shorter throw because you forget about it and don't notice it after about a month of use.
So yes it may sound odd, but from my experience I prefer stock and feel there are only disadvantages to using a short shifter. Of course this is just my opinion.
I wouldnt try this unless i had a spare stock shifter, but has anyone cut their shift assebly and re-thread it? Then you would have a short throw with out moving the cables, and it would be smooth since its its the stock shifter.

I am editing what I said because I didn't read your post all the way through. But shorter throw does help. It may be minimal but it does help.

Its ridiculous to think that a short shifter makes you faster. Just because your lever has an inch or two of less movement it won't make you shift through the gears any faster. You still have to use the clutch! When you shift do you think its the lever slowing you down?
