open it up and check if its loose, if it is there may be troubles getting into the gears you want.
sometimes those adapters, or at least DC version of them gets loose cuz the hex key nut comes lose from engine and driving vibration.

hey guys im thinking about getting the revo short shifter adaptor kit myself and i was wondering if theres any difference u can feel, as in shorter shifts cuz some short shifters dont help for crap. they just sell u a stick. lol but is there a noticable improvement?
The revo SS is the way to go, along with capyoda's bushinings. The SS does a few things - shorter throw, which means less time and effort to get thru the gears, it is a lot less sloppy than the stock assembly. It is a great upgrade, add a momo shift **** like I did and it looks sweet as hell. Go with the full kit, not those cheap adapters.

Less time out of gears, the less time you are out of gears, the more time you are using your engine. That how it helps, no one even needs to make a long response, this is all you have to say.
since your on the topic of the revo, i have one with capyoda's bushings and greys upgrade kit, and my shifter is pretty sloppy, more then stock. I located the problem to the ball joint on the shifter, are they all like that? Should i buy a new revo, besides that problem i love it and would never go back to stock

I just installed the generation 2 adjustable short shifter for the Type S in my civic coupe and it works great. I used to have a "clipping" problem when shifting into third gear when the transmission was cold but installing the REVO seems to have helped that.
Quick 83, did you grease the hell out of that joint? Maybe your assembly is defective?

I've had both a DC sports adapter and the revo in the past. A short shifter will make your shifter more harsh and you will not notice the shortened throw after you get used to it. So the only thing you are left with is a harsher shift.
Had the revo on for about 6 months and loved it at first. Then i got used to it and didn't notice the shortened throws so i took it off and whoah! Stock is smooth as butter compared to short shifter!
So again its just personal preference on feel. And I now run stock.

You should PM them.
Here's Capyoda's website: http://home.socal.rr.com/capyoda/
And to get grey's kit, just PM him.
