open it up and check if its loose, if it is there may be troubles getting into the gears you want.

sometimes those adapters, or at least DC version of them gets loose cuz the hex key nut comes lose from engine and driving vibration.

The revo SS is the way to go, along with capyoda's bushinings. The SS does a few things - shorter throw, which means less time and effort to get thru the gears, it is a lot less sloppy than the stock assembly. It is a great upgrade, add a momo shift **** like I did and it looks sweet as hell. Go with the full kit, not those cheap adapters.

Less time out of gears, the less time you are out of gears, the more time you are using your engine. That how it helps, no one even needs to make a long response, this is all you have to say.

Capyoad's bushings plus Grey's upgrade kit really help the shifting. And if you put on a nice heavy shift ****, it helps quite a bit.

Have the Revo full kit. It is definately worth the money and you don't have to worry about an adapter getting loose.

since your on the topic of the revo, i have one with capyoda's bushings and greys upgrade kit, and my shifter is pretty sloppy, more then stock. I located the problem to the ball joint on the shifter, are they all like that? Should i buy a new revo, besides that problem i love it and would never go back to stock

I just installed the generation 2 adjustable short shifter for the Type S in my civic coupe and it works great. I used to have a "clipping" problem when shifting into third gear when the transmission was cold but installing the REVO seems to have helped that.

Quick 83, did you grease the hell out of that joint? Maybe your assembly is defective?

Dunno, I just used the Revo kit as it came. Didn't upgrade bushings or anything, it's working just fine.

True dat. Easy to install and a vast improvement over stock. Just make sure u buy new cotter pins cus the stock ones are pretty weak after the install.

The adapter was a step in the right direction on my car. The Revo SS took it to the next level. Big difference. My wife can even shift it without grinding with the SS.

pretty sloppy? do you mean side to side play? like it movees from side to side when its in gear? if so, someone on this site found the solution to that problem.

if it is, then just refer to this

Are you kidding me? The only reason you would get a short shifter is for feel and personal preference. Saying that it will increase your shifting speed is ridiculous.

I've had both a DC sports adapter and the revo in the past. A short shifter will make your shifter more harsh and you will not notice the shortened throw after you get used to it. So the only thing you are left with is a harsher shift.

Had the revo on for about 6 months and loved it at first. Then i got used to it and didn't notice the shortened throws so i took it off and whoah! Stock is smooth as butter compared to short shifter!

So again its just personal preference on feel. And I now run stock.

You should PM them.
Here's Capyoda's website: http://home.socal.rr.com/capyoda/
And to get grey's kit, just PM him.
